Need financial help to support you at Kimberley College?
The 16 to 19 Bursary Fund is a government scheme to help young people facing financial hardship to stay in full-time education.
There are three different types of regular bursary payments being made in the Academic Year 2015/16:
- Vulnerable Bursary
- Discretionary Bursary: General payment
- Discretionary Bursary: Transport payment
A guaranteed bursary available to those in care or recent care leavers, students receiving income support or universal credit in their own name or disables students in receipt of Employment Support Allowance plus disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payments, all in their own name.
Discretionary Bursary: General payment
For those with a household income of up to £24,999 per annum, to help with books, transport, food and clothes etc.
Discretionary Bursary: Transport payment
For those with a household income of up to £27,999 per annum to help with train or bus costs only.
If you would like to apply to the 2016/17 fund you can either print a copy of the application form below or collect a copy from Mrs Earl in Room 1N05 at Kimberley College. Completed forms should be returned to Mrs Earl, with the relevant documentation, as soon as possible. All supporting documents must be originals, which we will photocopy and return to you. We also offer one off payments from the Hardship Fund for those with a household income of up to £29,999. Application detail are available on request.
